Teaching heterogeneous groups
AbstractTo teach statistics in a successful way is often something of a challenge. However, to teach statistics in heterogenous groups of students is even more challenging. The statistics student audience can be heterogenous in many different ways, for example with respect to ethnic and social backgrounds, preknowledge, disabilities ... .
The aim of this section is to present some different aspects of teaching statistics in heterogenous groups. It is the intention that problems and suggested solutions concerning the teaching situation occurring due to heterogeneity will be discussed as well as pedagogical approaches.
