On-line course and web-based instruction
The Internet and the World Wide Web provide useful vehicles for communicating statistical information of various types and in various formats. Providing statistics instruction via this form of communication can be a great aid to student learning. The Web may be used to augment a course or as the sole basis for content delivery. Session 7B papers will focus on web-based tools and courses for statistics instruction in general and in support statistical service courses. This session will provide a forum for discussing issues related to the educational possibilities in using modern technology to enhance student learning. Presenters will relate their experiences with and student reactions to web-based statistical instruction in various situations.
